Personalized Wedding Favors
Wedding favors are small gifts given by the newly wed couples to thank the guests for sharing in their celebration. They are intended to be little tokens of appreciation and memorable keepsakes of your special day.
Should Never Be Left Out
While planning for your wedding, you might consider cutting out some of the expenses that you think are unnecessary so that you can save on some time, effort, and money. As a matter of fact, many couples actually start considering cutting out the wedding favors for the party. But do you think this is a good idea?
On your special day, you depend on the members of your wedding celebration to look as beautiful as they can be as well as do their very best to make sure that your special day goes as smoothly as possible. In fact, you’re expecting them to be photographed, stuffed into dress or tuxedo of your preference, walk in high heels or shoes, help you plan your big day, and help you retouch your make up. This probably obliged you to at least give a small sign of appreciation for the guests and members of your wedding.
There is almost no good enough reason to leave out this wedding tradition. Soon-to-be couples might be on a tight budget but they can actually search for gifts that are practical and well suitable to the personality and character of the members of their celebration.
Make It Personal
Contemporary wedding favors can be almost anything you can think of, as long as they provide the guests with a wedding souvenir that is meaningful and significant to the couples. When buying a wedding favor, it’s your prerogative to spend as much or as thrifty as your budget allows.
You’re guests won’t probably care how much you spent for the gifts. As a matter of fact, most of them appreciate more the ones with a personal touch, which makes the gifts much more sentimental and unforgettable.
Consider an item that will resemble you as a couple. It can resemble something that both of you like or an activity that you like to do together. A CD collection of love songs that both of you enjoy listening to is just one of the excellent wedding favors easily available.
Personalized items – like mugs, pillows, figurines, ceramics, etc. – with engraved or embroidered pictures and a dedication from the bride and groom are beautiful but functional gifts you can offer as wedding souvenirs.
Votive candle holders, key chains with the couple’s picture, and little decorated glassware with interesting gemstones or potpourri inside also make a brilliant memento.
How to Present or Display Your Wedding Favors
You can display or present your wedding favors in so many different ways. You may want to display them on the entrance table at your reception hall. They can serve as an escort card to your guests by hanging a tag that includes their table assignment. Or you may want the favors placed on the tables or tied to the guests’ chairs so as to save table space.
You can also place the gifts on a basket near the entrance with a reminder for the guests to get one. Children can be of great help by giving them baskets filled with favors and asking them to hand them out to the wedding guests. On wedding occasions with small number of attendees, the bride and groom take this responsibility which provides them a great opportunity to personally give their gratitude to each guest.
